As son as Michael Walling, artist and festival director of Border Crossings Fest, knew The Voladores would come to Great Britain he invited us to bring the Voladores de Papantla to London to be part of the Festival. Within the framework of this important festival, for the first time in history, the Voladores de Papantla´s ritual was presented and performed in London.

In addition, Expressarte participated in a pannel at the Border Crossing by giving a brief explanation about the meaning of The Voladores de Papantla’s ritual.

About the Festival

The company works across the borders between cultures and art forms, and between nations and peoples, since 1995. The Festival is about showcasing cultures that are truly different from our own – cultures from which we can learn a great deal. The Festival is a space for genuine dialogue and exchange, a forum where people from wildly different backgrounds can come together, eat, dance, talk and contemplate.
